With full optimism and strong determination, the State Islamic University (UIN) Mataram held a Self-Assessment Report (SAR) ACQUIN Preparation Assistance event on Tuesday, May 13, 2026, at the UIN Mataram Auditorium Building. This strategic step is tangible proof of UIN Mataram’s seriousness in realizing its ambition to achieve international accreditation recognition from ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute), a leading accreditation body from Germany.
Achieving international accreditation is one of the main priorities of UIN Mataram in the institution’s development roadmap. Through this process, UIN Mataram hopes to prove that the standards of education, governance, curriculum, human resources, and quality assurance system have met—even exceeded—the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG), which serve as the benchmark for the quality of higher education at the global level.
The commitment of UIN Mataram is reflected in the presence of all leadership elements in this activity, starting from the Vice Rectors I, II, and III; the Deans; Directors; Vice Deans I, II, and III; Heads of Units and Institutions; to the Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs throughout the UIN Mataram environment. The full participation of the leadership team emphasizes that the effort to achieve ACQUIN accreditation is a collective agenda undertaken by the entire institution, not just a handful of units.
Rector Encourages All Leaders to Oversee the Accreditation Process The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs and Curriculum, Prof. Dr. H. Adi Padli, M.Ag. In his speech, he acknowledged that UIN Mataram’s agenda in recent months has been very busy, covering the international ACQUIN accreditation process, the preparation for the opening of the Faculty of Medicine, and the preparation for new student admissions. However, amidst this busyness, the spirit to keep moving forward has never waned.
Amidst our busyness—teaching, mentoring, researching, and serving the community—I hope all agendas can proceed smoothly. Including ensuring that the ACQUIN international accreditation continues to run smoothly. “Let us together oversee all activities at UIN Mataram.” — Prof. Dr. H. Adi Padli, M.Ag., Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs and Curriculum at UIN Mataram. Adi Padli also reminded all leaders to carry out their respective duties according to the agreement reached in the previous meeting at Hotel Vape on May 7, 2026. He emphasized that the success of ACQUIN accreditation is not just an academic achievement but a reflection of the quality and dedication of the entire academic community of UIN Mataram in building a globally competitive institution.
LPM ensures technical readiness for quality assurance. In the presentation session, the Secretary of LPM UIN Mataram, Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Quddus, MA, outlined several technical aspects that form the foundation of UIN Mataram’s readiness to face the ACQUIN assessment. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) operates optimally as the backbone of accountable and transparent academic data management.
Furthermore, Abdul Quddus urged all study programs to ensure that the outcome-based education (OBE) curriculum has been fully inputted into the system, particularly the distribution of odd and even semester courses. He also encouraged the optimal use of the Learning Management System (LMS) as a modern learning tool in line with the international standards required by ACQUIN.
In addition, Abdul Quddus emphasized the importance of the implementation and measurement of the performance contract (Konkin) between the rector and the deans, directors, as well as heads of institutions and units. This institutional accountability instrument is deemed crucial in demonstrating tangible evidence of a measurable and responsible governance system — two aspects that are highly regarded in ACQUIN’s assessment standards.
With all the preparations being finalized, UIN Mataram hopes that the ACQUIN accreditation process can proceed smoothly and result in international recognition that will elevate the campus’s reputation on the global stage. This success will not only be a source of pride for the institution but will also open wider opportunities for students and graduates of UIN Mataram to compete and contribute at the international level.
