Mataram State Islamic University (UIN) is increasingly serious about paving the way toward global recognition. To refine these strategic steps, UIN Mataram held a Workshop on Filling Out the ACQUIN Self-Assessment Report (SAR) as a continuation of the intensive work by the campus’s internal quality assessment team. This crucial activity took place over two days, from Monday to Tuesday (July 6-7, 2026), at the Fave Hotel Mataram.
The event began with an opening address by the Chairman of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of UIN Mataram, Prof. Dr. H. Fakhrurrozi, MA. In his address, the LPM Chairman expressed a strong commitment to overseeing all processes that support the achievement of quality and a quality culture, so that recognition by international external institutions can be realized soon.
When officially opening the event, the Rector of UIN Mataram, Prof. Dr. Masnun, M.Ag., continuously provided encouragement to the small team assigned to complete the SAR document. The dedication of this team is crucial considering there are three major clusters submitted in this international accreditation, namely the Education Cluster, Social Cluster, and Humanities Cluster.
After the opening session, the event continued with the core material session featuring an expert from UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. Sugeng Sigit Prabowo, M.Pd., as the companion and reviewer. On the first day, Prof. Sugeng started his material by providing a refreshment regarding the SAR ACQUIN form instrument, from the old version to the latest version currently in use.
Entering the intensive work phase, the agenda was immediately followed by an in-depth review of the SAR ACQUIN form completed by the form team from all clusters. In this process, Prof. Sugeng specifically examined the SAR form starting from Cluster 1, which is the group of Educational Study Programs in the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training as well as the Postgraduate program.
All SAR components are meticulously reviewed one by one based on the official ACQUIN template. This detailed evaluation is conducted to precisely check which components are complete and which parts still need improvement. Thru this mentoring, Prof. Sugeng also provided new insights to the small team to enrich the descriptions in the SAR and strengthen the supporting documents that need to be attached. Thru this two-day workshop, UIN Mataram is optimistic about completing a high-quality SAR document to achieve international standardization.
